Sejual's Corner - July 2007

There’s a new healing and meditation space now open in Hertfordshire. The Ark is a rose quartz healing room in Redbourn. I had the joy of attending the opening ceremony on the blue moon last month (30 June) and joined hands with 15 other men and women to consecrate the space through prayer and heartfelt thoughts. What’s special about it?

Beneath the structure in closely fitted pieces lie 4.5 tonnes of high grade rose quartz. They are there to create a loving and supportive environment through their healing vibrations. Some of the rose quartz has been organised in to an eight sided star pattern. Deryck Fitzsimmons, who dreamt up and built this room with his friend Mel Furlong, sees it as an ark for healing and growth open to all spiritual paths and traditions. It was lovely to be gathered with people from many different faiths and belief systems and to intend the same thing. Here are some of the words we used in a group to consecrate the place:

We dedicate this Ark to God and the progressive development of the divine inner light of all who use it. The Ark is a space for spiritual learning and healing on all levels, always promoting healing enlightenment, love light and eternal happiness, in order to make space for the joy of peace.

In our unity, bathed in the elements and God’s light, with perfect love and perfect trust, we call for the attention, presence, and grace of all those who would aid us in our intent to activate and preserve the Ark, and all those who use its energies to achieve their fullest potential.'

Deryck and Mel are looking forward to building more of these beacons of light elsewhere.

Update 26 August 2014 – The Ark has moved from Redbourn and Deryck is looking for a new site to be built on.

It’s been a busy few weeks for me, so I had to miss out on doing an ezine in June to fulfil my other commitments. I love inspiring others towards their self development. And so I have given an abundance of talks on the Law of Attraction - it’s actually about spiritual growth and not just getting more money - and Energy and Personal Health.

When starting my business last year I made a commitment that I would spend some of my time helping those who would not otherwise have access to this type of support. And so I was delighted to provide a stress resolution workshop at the Watford Women’s Centre which was very popular - I had a near full house of participants which apparently doesn’t happen very often. I’m also pleased to have been accepted by the UK mental health charity Mind to act as a mentor for people returning to work.

I’m developing more exciting talks for the autumn, some bigger than anything I’ve done before. I’ve already got details of the first of these up on my Events page, and I’m delighted to be working with another EFT practitioner to reach a bigger audience. More details to be posted as I get events finalised!

Finally, it looks like I’m a Zenployee! This is a growing trend where workers are happy to trade in their high salary jobs for one that gives them greater fulfilment and a sense of self-worth. Perhaps our society can be one of compassion and genuine kindness.
