This month's article explains how paying too much attention to other people's woes can halt you in your progress. If you know how to do EFT at a simple level or more try the following setups to help you regain momentum, and with your progress and help motivate others to get unstuck too.
While tapping the karate chop spot on either hand, repeat these phrases out loud, or change the words to fit your exact situation. If you need a reminder of the EFT tapping points please download this pdf file. It also provides a reminder of how to do EFT.
"Even though I am scared that what I see and hear about the situation of others might happen to me I accept myself and who I am"
"Even though I feel anxious after listening to those tales of woe that don't seem to have an easy end in sight, I choose to comfort myself by acknowledging that my situation could be different "
"Even though the news paints a black picture and one that might bring me to a halt, I allow myself to draw strength into my being from all that I believe in "
I have indicated where to tap while saying each of the phrases below. You may repeat this round more than once if you wish.
***These phrases focus on tapping out the problem***
1st Round
Head: "I read about their worries "
Eyebrow: "Stories that could be my own "
Side of Eye: "That feels too close to comfort "
Under Eye: "Blinkers can't stop me from connecting with those stories "
Nose: "They seem so close "
Chin: "I'm concerned it might happen to me too? "
Collarbone: "Then how would I manage? "
Under Arm: "Wouldn't I be safer if I kept a watchful eye on those problems? "
Ribs: "To make sure they don't get too close to me? "
2nd Round
Head: "But maybe that is making me freeze? "
Eyebrow: "Watching them I feel like I'm being turned to stone "
Side of Eye: "I'm losing my momentum "
Under Eye: "I was doing fine until I shifted my gaze"
Nose: "But I'm now starting to lose my strength and motivation "
Chin: "What if by coming back to my work "
Collarbone: "Which is my passion and my joy "
Under Arm: "I can get back on track? "
Ribs: "And achieve my own success "
If any negative thoughts or feelings remain about believing in your own affirmations use your own words to neutralise them until they are gone. Then move on to the positive.
***These phrases bring in a positive focus on the solution***
Head: "I love it when my work is a success "
Eyebrow: "Because then I'm giving the best of myself "
Side of Eye: "And empowing those around me to be successful too "
Under Eye: "Maybe I can grow my success "
Nose: "By letting my focus stay on track "
Chin: "Evaluating different options to see what's best for me "
Collarbone: "I'm grateful for the healthy progress I'm making "
Under Arm: "I'm hoping my momentum will help others "
Ribs: "To focus on their creative joy and passion towards success "
